Marine Scientist - Marine Ecology
Lisa Benson is a marine ecologist at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas), UK. Lisa’s research focuses on the dynamics of carbon storage in coastal habitats with a focus on mangrove ecosystems and investigating the use of carbon financing to catalyse community-led mangrove conservation and restoration. Lisa is also currently leading on a project supporting the development of Antigua and Barbuda's National Adaptation Plan, which is funded by the Green Climate Fund, Defra and the Commonwealth Marine Economies (CME) Programme.
