Dr Jon Barry
SENIOR STATISTICIAN
Jon previously worked as a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster University, before joining Cefas in 2002. He has a particular interest in designing monitoring surveys to measure the effects of human or natural impacts on marine life, contaminants, sediments and litter. Jon has been instrumental in the ongoing development of an R-library “emon” to make the design of monitoring statistically rigorous for a number of different spatial and temporal designs. Jon has co-authored over 100 research publications.
