The book attempts to provide some insight into the biology and management of the minke whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata ), and into the strengths and weakness in the state of current knowledge of the species. It contains the following chapters: general description and identification; distribution and migration; food and feeding; growth; size; and age determination; identification of populations; natural mortality; reproduction; exploitation of minke whales; and abundance and status of stock.
