Publication Abstract

Biochemical polymorphism in bass, Dicentrarchus labrax in waters around the British Isles

A.R. Child

Samples of bass, Dicentrarchus labrax (L), from 19 sites around the British Isles were analysed electrophoretically. Polymorphism at the phosphoglucomutase locus provides evidence for stock separation between bass from the Irish Sea and bass from the Bristol Channel, English Channel and Thames estuary.
