Monitoring testicular activity inspawning male plaice

Testicular activity and sperm production of male plaice can be monitored byassaying levels of the 5 beta -reduced, sulphated metabolites of 17alpha, 20beta-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one in plasma.
