Pheromones of the male sea lamprey, Petromyzon marinus L: structural studies on a new compound, 3-keto allocholic acid; and 3-keto petromyzonol sulfate

This is the third paper related to the lamprey pheromone work. It describes the identification of a new bile acid from water conditioned by male lampreys. It is fairly ‘chemical’ – Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Fast atom bombardment Mass spectroscopy – and we therefore propose sending it to an appropriate journal. I worked quite heavily on this MS while I was in Michigan this year.
