Title
RadSpill - Modelling Radioactive Spills in the Marine Environment: Technical Report
Publication Abstract

RadSpill is a tool to predict the fate of radionuclides released into the marine environment in a single short-scale event such as an accidental spill or intentional release. This Technical Report describes the processes involved in the model (advection, diffusion, wind driven movement, radioactive decay and sediment binding) and details how the processes are implemented. Details are also given concerning the visualisation of the tidal data which is used, and the display of output concentrations.

A small study of the individual (and combined) processes has been performed to ensure the validity of the model. The results are presented in this report.
