Publication Abstract

Cefas was commissioned by the Environment Agency to analyse semi-permeable membrane devices (SPMDs) and Silicone Rubber (SR) passive samplers deployed at two different occasions in two locations (Bell Weir and Arborfield, UK). Upon extraction and clean-up, a suite of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polybrominated diphenyl ether congeners (PBDEs) were determined in twenty five SPMDs and twenty five SR samplers under the context of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) priority substances monitoring.
