Many farms with the above conditions contain stocks of rainbow trout affected with nephrocalcinosis. Brown trout are free from the disease. Fish also show melanosis of kidney. See RAP 1-A41.

Large depoists of calcified material in renal tubules andcollecting ducts. Affected tubules show distension and attenuation of the epithelial lining..
