Lession:

Granuloma formation with fibrosis surrounding islands of degenerate and necrotic tissue. Much of this material may be host derived (blood?). Possibility of metazoan infection but there is insufficient identifiable remains within the lesions to support this hypothesis. Similar to visceral granulomatosis seen in cod and occasionally whiting.
