Significance:

A common parasite of stickleback kidneys. A very unusual finding in this specimen, is that the gonads are also infected.

Lession:

Dilated renal tubules often occluded with sporogonic stages of S.elegans. Small lesion in gonad, very little host response. Inflammatory reaction in the liver associated with heavy infection by an unidentified nematode.
