Serious pathology in affected goldfish, reported from several European countries, USA & Japan.

Lession:

Cavernous cysts in the kidney, tubules are also distended and contain developmental stages of H.carassii. Spores possibly present. Intracellular stages within tubule epithelium present but rare.
