Occasional report in larger carp
1) Kidney with focal areas of oedema/necrosis. Other visceral organs and brain NAD. Swimbladder wall extremely thickened and comprising of several layers of connective tissue and inflammatory cells with many conspicuous eosinphills. Smears of fluid from within the swimbladder showed prescnce of numerous phagocytes with several containing many rod-shaped bacteria. Gills- some parasites present, hyperplasia of basal epithelium and some fusion of secondary lamllae- probably within adaptive limits. 2) Gills with necrosis of basal epithelium- other findings as one.
