Similar pathology has been described as net pen liver disease (NPLD) in farmed Pacific salmon. Caused by algal toxin.
Occasionally seen in wild brown trout.
Numerous pleomorphic hepatocytes distributed throughout the liver. Marked differences in nuclear profiles and chromatin pattern. Some bi-nucleate hepatocytes.
