Rarely seen
The granuloma are very prominent consisting of a discrete outer epitheloid layer surrounding necrotic tissue made up of presumptive phagocytic cells. The full spectrum of cellular necrosis is present with nuclear changes particularly visible. No signs of Ichthyophonus or bacterial infection, pattern of pathology is not suggestive of a viral infection.
