The Premiam Conference – Time is running out to register!!

22 June 2012

4th July 2012 - 09:00 to 16:30: Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London

The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for scientists, regulators and other professionals working in the field of marine oil/chemical spill monitoring to share experience, best practice and knowledge to the wider marine emergency response community. We hope to promote the use of sound science, co-operation and co-ordination in the design, conduct and management of environmental monitoring and impact assessment practices following accidental releases of oil/chemicals to the marine environment.

There is an excellent line up of confirmed speakers including representatives from NOAA (USA), Cefas, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Environmental Agency, ITOPF, OSRL, IOPC Funds and Natural England. The days presentation topics cover a wide range of issues pertaining to post-spill monitoring and impact assessment including best use of science, co-ordination and management, compensation issues, links with contingency plans and response activities, modelling and the monitoring priorities.

If you or your organisation has an interest in post spill monitoring and impact assessment then you will want to consider attendance.
